This Scope of Work Disclaimer outlines the types of services that SKUNKWORK™ does not offer, restricts how certain services are delivered, and clarifies what is included in our various Kits, Subscriptions, and One-Off tasks. It forms an integral part of our contractual framework and must be read in conjunction with the Terms & SLA.

Purpose & Positioning

SKUNKWORK™ delivers technical execution support for Shopify and WordPress websites — specifically via modular Kits and fixed-scope plans. We focus on agility, maintenance, enhancement, and performance, but do not offer open-ended creative or enterprise-level consulting under standard service tiers.

We offer what we call "defined-value" service delivery — this means every kit, plan, or one-off service has a fixed scope, clear outcome, and defined time window. This structure protects both parties and ensures consistency of expectations.

Services We Do Not Provide

Unless explicitly agreed in writing or under a custom scope agreement, SKUNKWORK™ does not provide:

Full-Scale Development or Migration Projects

Entire website rebuilds or redesigns

Platform-to-platform migrations (e.g. Wix to Shopify, Shopify to WooCommerce)

Headless commerce setups or Shopify Plus enterprise builds

Custom or Bespoke App Development

Web apps, SaaS builds, or React/Node/JS framework applications

Mobile apps (iOS or Android)

Large-Scale Branding or Marketing Campaigns

Brand naming, strategy, or identity development (outside Marketing Asset Kit)

Paid advertising campaigns (e.g. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok)

Influencer marketing, social media management, or email campaign strategy

Strategic or Legal Consulting

Legal compliance reviews, cookie audits, accessibility compliance (WCAG)

GDPR/PECR consultations beyond hosting and data storage responsibility

Copywriting strategy, tone-of-voice work, or long-form SEO copy

3rd-Party Account Management or Ownership

Managing Shopify admin stores, Google Merchant Center, Analytics properties

Domain registrar support beyond DNS (GoDaddy, 123-reg, Namecheap, etc.)

Hosting support for platforms not included in our stack

Deep Design System or UX Research

Figma systems, wireframing, heatmap analysis, or multivariate testing

Full-service UI/UX design projects

Service Delivery Boundaries (All Kits & Tiers)

All service delivery is bound by the Scope of Work, Estimated Timeframes, and Limits described in your chosen Plan or One-Off Kit.

Specifically:

Kits cover tactical execution — not strategic planning or advisory services.

Each kit includes one round of reasonable revisions only.

Deliverables are only worked on once Specification Sign-Off (task brief) is agreed.

We do not guarantee outcomes tied to rankings, sales, traffic, or uptime (per our Terms).

We reserve the right to reject work that exceeds what was purchased or that breaches ethical, legal, or platform-specific policies.

Technical Stack Limitations

SKUNKWORK™ supports:

Shopify (all themes except headless/custom apps)

WordPress (including WooCommerce)

We do not support the following unless separately agreed:

Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, BigCommerce, Magento

Custom PHP or Laravel projects

Closed platforms without developer access

Some kits (e.g., Page Build Kit or SEO Kit) may have reduced compatibility with certain themes or hosting providers, particularly with highly modified WordPress themes or non-liquid-based Shopify themes.

One-Off Kit Exclusions

Our One-Off Kits are designed for clearly defined technical fixes or single deliverables. They do not include:

Continuous updates or multi-phase development

Retainer-style communications or access to SKUNKWORK™ staff

Consultations or ideation calls

Design work without a corresponding Marketing Asset Kit

Edits or changes outside the signed-off specification

Third-Party Tools, Access, and Risk

SKUNKWORK™ is not liable for:

Failures or errors due to external service providers (Google, Shopify, DNS hosts, etc.)

Delays caused by 3rd-party dependencies (platform bugs, plugin updates, or vendor downtime)

Loss of access due to credential errors or expired tokens

Rejection or Termination of Work

We reserve the right to:

Decline any submission that does not match the paid kit or tier

Reject or cancel projects involving abuse, harassment, fraud, or violations of the law

Suspend or terminate service per Sections 11 and 17 of the Terms

Any inappropriate, unlawful, or unethical usage of SKUNKWORK™ services will be met with immediate suspension.
