You can access SKUNKWORK™ services in four ways.

1. Subscribe to a monthly plan (Green, Blue, Black Project)

Choose a plan via skunkwork.co.uk. Once subscribed, you gain access to the KITS included in your plan. All service requests are submitted as Tasks through the client portal. Plans available: Green £495/month, Blue £995/month, Black Project £1,995/month.

2. Purchase a One-Off Task (£199 + VAT)

Any Simple or Medium KIT marked as available for One-Off use can be purchased without a subscription. After purchase, you submit your brief as a Task through the portal. One-Off Tasks follow the same Standard Queue as Green.

3. Access KITS through your plan using the Service Kit Access matrix

Each plan unlocks specific KITS. Green unlocks core FIX, SEO, Design, and Social Creative. Blue unlocks everything in Green plus Print, Customer Retention, Security, and Data Protection. Black unlocks every KIT including eCommerce, Marketing Campaigns, AI Web Ops, Storefront AI, and Custom Tasks. You submit Tasks for the KITS your plan allows.

Process overview

Yes, you can purchase individual KIT executions for £199 each without a subscription. This option is perfect for testing our services or addressing a single specific need. One-off tasks have standard queue priority and delivery timeframes.

What does Unlimited KIT Usage mean?

Unlimited KIT Usage means you can request as many KITS as you need, as often as you need, limited only by the KITS included in your assigned plan (Green, Blue or Black). You are not capped by the number of tasks you can submit — you can continue submitting new KIT requests throughout your subscription.

All KITs run consecutively, not concurrently.

Only one KIT (task) is worked on at a time, and when it is completed, the next one in your queue begins. This applies to all plans and ensures fair-use, stable workflow, and predictable delivery against the SLA.

These typically complete within 5-10 business days.

Complex Kits include: Customer Retention (loyalty and engagement systems), Data Protection (GDPR compliance and privacy), Fraud Prevention (security and risk management), Checkout Optimisation (conversion rate improvement), AI Web Ops (automation and intelligence), Storefront AI (personalization), and Custom Task (bespoke requirements). Delivery & SLA

Green Plan: Simple Kits 3-5 days, Medium 7-10 days, Complex 12-15 days. Blue Plan: Simple 2-3 days, Medium 5-7 days, Complex 8-12 days. Black Project: Simple 1-2 days, Medium 3-5 days, Complex 5-10 days. All timeframes are in business days from queue start.

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding UK public holidays. SLA timeframes count only business days. Weekend and holiday submissions enter the queue on the next business day.

Queue priority determines your position in our delivery schedule. Black Project clients receive highest priority, followed by Blue Plan, then Green Plan, with one-off tasks processed last. Within each tier, requests are handled first-in-first-out.

Yes, all work is completed in a staging or development environment first. You review and approve changes before they go live. This ensures quality and gives you control over when updates are published to your production store.

SLA timers pause when awaiting client input, approvals, or third-party dependencies. We notify you of any delays and resume work immediately upon receiving required information. This ensures fair SLA tracking and quality delivery.

Account Management

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle. Contact support to process plan changes and discuss any active KIT requests.

You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to services and can submit KIT requests until your subscription expires.

Refund overview

Refunds are handled at the level of individual tasks, not in a blanket way. Whether you can receive a refund depends entirely on the status of the task at the moment you request it and whether work has actually begun. Tasks that have not yet been picked up by a Skunk™ are fully refundable, tasks that are assigned but not started are partially refundable, and tasks that are already in progress or completed are non-refundable.

Cancelling or pausing your subscription

You can cancel or pause your subscription at any time via the Shopify customer portal, the SKUNKWORK CRM, or by emailing support@skunkwork.co.uk. When you cancel or pause, your eligibility for loyalty rewards ends immediately and your consecutive month counter resets back to zero. Any active tasks at the time of cancellation may continue to completion if they have already been assigned, but this is at SKUNKWORK’s discretion rather than guaranteed.

How refund eligibility is decided

Refund eligibility is determined by the task status in SKUNKWORK’s internal system when your request is received. The key moment is whether a Skunk™ has been assigned and whether execution has started. Once work has moved beyond the planning stage into active execution, the service is treated as delivered or being delivered, and refunds are no longer available for that task.

Refund outcomes by task status

If a task has not yet been assigned to a Skunk™, it is eligible for a full refund of the task fee. If a task has been assigned but work has not yet started, it is eligible for a partial refund equal to 90% of the fee, minus a £20 admin fee retained to cover allocation and handling costs. If work on a task is in progress or has been completed, no refund is available for that task.

How to request a refund and processing time

To request a refund, you must email support@skunkwork.co.uk and include the relevant task details so the team can verify the current status in their system. Once a refund is confirmed as eligible based on the rules above, it is processed within 7 business days. The actual time it takes for funds to appear in your account may then depend on your bank or payment provider.

Effect on loyalty rewards and ongoing work

Any cancellation or pause that leads to refunds or the stopping of tasks also resets your loyalty rewards progression, since eligibility depends on maintaining an active, uninterrupted subscription. Where you cancel but tasks have already been assigned, SKUNKWORK may still allow those tasks to complete; this is a discretionary decision and does not change the refund rule that work already in progress or completed is not refundable.

Loyalty Rewards

All active subscribers are automatically enrolled in our Loyalty Rewards program. Earn points for subscription tenure, KIT usage, referrals, and feedback. One-off task purchases do not earn loyalty points.

Rewards include: account credits, gift cards, shopping vouchers, curated tech, apparel & clothing, priority queue boosts, free KIT upgrades, exclusive beta access, extended support hours, and partner discounts. Higher-tier plans earn points faster and unlock premium rewards.

View your points balance and available rewards in your account dashboard. Click to redeem rewards instantly. Some rewards apply automatically while others require manual activation. Points never expire while your subscription is active.

Yes, loyalty members receive exclusive discounts on partner tools and services including hosting, apps, marketing platforms, and analytics tools. Partner offers are updated quarterly and displayed in your rewards dashboard.

Data & Privacy

We collect: account information (name, email, billing), store access credentials (with your permission), KIT request details, usage analytics, and support communications. We never access customer payment information or personally identifiable customer data without explicit consent.

Your data is used exclusively to: deliver requested services, improve our KITs, provide support, process billing, and send service updates. We never sell your data. Analytics are aggregated and anonymized. Marketing communications require opt-in consent.

Active account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days. Billing records are kept for 7 years per UK tax law. You can request data deletion at any time after account closure, subject to legal retention requirements.

Under GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, request corrections, delete your data, export your data, restrict processing, and object to processing. Contact privacy@skunkwork.co.uk to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days.

We use trusted third-party tools for: payment processing (Shopify Payments), hosting (Shopify), analytics (privacy-focused tools), and support (ticketing systems). All partners are GDPR-compliant and bound by data processing agreements. We never share data for marketing purposes.

Work NOT Undertaken: Full-Scale Development or Migration Projects

This excludes entire website rebuilds or redesigns, as well as headless commerce setups or Shopify Plus enterprise builds.

Custom or Bespoke App Development

SKUNKWORK™ does not provide web apps, SaaS builds, or React/Node/JS framework applications. Mobile apps for iOS or Android are also excluded.

Large-Scale Branding or Marketing Campaigns

Work not provided includes full brand strategy or identity development (beyond the Marketing Campaign KIT), paid advertising management, influencer marketing, social media account management, and email marketing strategy or execution.

Strategic or Legal Consulting

The services do not include legal reviews or consultations, cookie compliance audits, or accessibility compliance (WCAG). GDPR/PECR consultations beyond hosting and data storage responsibility are not provided, except as detailed in designated kits such as the Data Protection KIT. Copywriting or content strategy is also excluded.

3rd-Party Account Management or Ownership

SKUNKWORK™ does not manage Shopify admin stores, Google Merchant Center, or Analytics related tasks. Support for domain registrars beyond DNS (such as GoDaddy, 123-reg, or Namecheap) and hosting support for platforms not included in their stack are not provided.

Deep Design System or UX Research

This excludes Figma systems, wireframing, heatmap analysis, or multivariate testing. Full-service UI/UX design projects are also not provided.

Technical Stack Limitations

Platforms not supported, unless separately agreed, include Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, BigCommerce, and Magento. They also do not support Custom PHP or Laravel projects, or closed platforms without developer access.

One-Off Kit Exclusions

One-Off Kits do not include continuous updates or multi-phase development, retainer-style communications or access to SKUNKWORK™ staff, consultations or ideation calls, or edits or changes outside the signed-off specification. Additionally, design work that infringes upon any copyright(s) or intellectual property right(s) for any individual or organisation not associated with the company or business registered and verified with SKUNKWORK is excluded.

SKUNKWORK™ delivers technical execution support for Shopify and WordPress websites — specifically via modular Kits and fixed-scope plans. They focus on agility, maintenance, enhancement, and performance.

They offer what they call "defined-value" service delivery. This means every kit, plan, or one-off service has a fixed scope, clear outcome, and defined time window. This structure protects both parties and ensures consistency of expectations. They do not offer open-ended creative or enterprise-level consulting under standard service tiers.

Operations

Green Plan: Email support Monday-Friday 9am-5pm GMT. Blue Plan: Email and chat support Monday-Friday 8am-8pm GMT. Black Project: 24/7 email, chat, and phone support with dedicated account manager. Emergency support available for all plans for critical issues.

Each KIT includes reasonable revisions to ensure satisfaction. Simple Kits: 2 revision rounds. Medium Kits: 3 revision rounds. Complex Kits: 4 revision rounds. Additional revisions beyond scope may be treated as new KIT requests. We work collaboratively to get it right.

Yes, use the Custom Task KIT for bespoke requirements not covered by standard KITs. Black Project subscribers receive priority for custom work and strategic consulting. We provide detailed scoping, timeline estimates, and milestone-based delivery for complex custom projects.
